Hi, I’m

Eric

I’m a somatic practitioner; I help people to feel their feelings.

I’m also someone who really loves being alive.

I love dancing, losing myself in music, a good cortado, walking my dog Ratatouille, getting sweaty, cooking for people and laughing loudly.

I’m energetic and intense. I’m also soft and tender. I swear. I hug. I’m full of beautiful contradictions.

And I care deeply about people.

I have to be honest: it took me a long time to feel this alive....

I SPENT A LOT OF MY LIFE TRYING NOT TO FEEL.

For years, I numbed life with drugs, alcohol and isolation. I played small. I said yes when I wanted to say no. I stayed when I wanted to leave.

I followed the rules and learned to quiet the impulses that said otherwise.

From the outside, not all of that looked like numbing.

Sometimes it even looked like success.

But it was.

I was disconnecting from what I knew to be true in my body. disconnected from myself .

When I finally allowed myself to feel , something in me began to understand that feeling what was true wasn't dangerous.

I could feel anger without hurting someone. I could feel fear without letting it make every decision. Grief without drowning in it.

I learned I could survive feeling.

And that made room for curiosity.

After cardiac arrest in 2025, my appreciation for being alive became even more physical and a decide I did not want to protect myself from the experience  of being alive anymore.

SOMEONE ALIVE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING TO WITNESS.

I think that's probably why I love this work so much.

I love being moved by people.

By what happens when someone begins to allow themselves to feel, sometimes for the first time in a long time.

Because I KNOW THIS PLACE.

It might be anger finally finding its place.

A big yes.

A "no" that someone has never dared to say before.

And it can also be something quiet.

Someone allowing themselves to cry, to laugh, and stay with what they're feeling.

I find all these ways of being alive beautiful.

I HAVEN’T FIGURED THIS OUT.

I still play small.

I still avoid feelings. The difference is that I'm getting better at noticing when I do it.And noticing gives me a little more choice.

I don't always make the brave choice.

I don't think that's the point.

I'm becoming more willing to feel what being myself asks me to feel.

And I don't expect anything different from you.

You don't have to change.

You can discover something about yourself and decide to do absolutely nothing about it. You can recognize what you want and decide you're not ready to pursue it.

Feeling doesn't create an obligation to become someone else.

We can start by getting curious about what's already here

MY PRACTICE

My practice is a blend of the tools and approaches I've studied over the years, but also everything I've learned through the unofficial curriculum of life.

My search for meaning. My spiritual exploration. My queerness. The years I spent numbing myself to life, and the journey back.

All of it has shaped me and deepened my capacity to hold space for others with an understanding that comes from lived experience.

I work with people individually and facilitate group experiences, including ENSEMBLE, my circle-workshop for gay and queer men.
